Great Expectations???
First of all, I'm sorry for the long slience. I'll try my very best to keep u as informed as I can. However, there are some details i cannot put down here. So, Miss Teva if you are really interested.............you know how to reach me.
ok, where do i start from??? before i get into gist that has anything to do with the male species, let me express the disappointment i felt on Friday. All James Bond lovers have been waiting for the Casino Royale premiere (Dec. Ist). i was sitting down 'jeje-ly' and one of my friends called me (about a week and a half before the date) and said we (me, her and some other friends) should all go together, she even said they were making T-shirts that i should let them know if i was interested. i even received an email showing different designs for the T-shirt. I made my choice. we were communicating thru texts on which of the Cinemas to go to, what time, where to hook up etc. until the night before the d-day.
hmmmm, i thought i was making plans with human beings o! on that day, i called my dear friend when i was about to round up at work. she said she already got her ticket, that some of her colleagues were making arrangements for tickets so she joined them and that they were all going together! i was in shock. ok, i was thinking that if she wanted to 'jabo' me at the last minute, the least she could have done was help me get a ticke considering the fact that the possiblity that tickets would be sold out was very close to 100%.
Anyway, i decided i wasnt going to let anyone spoil my fun. so i called my 'unbiological' twin sister. she said she was interested, so we decided to hook up. i just made it to the Cinema a few minutes before the movie was to start (omo, bone the James Bond moves that got me there). anyway, while i was on my way, i kept callin twinsis to find out where she was. she kept saying she was stuck in traffic. i was quite confused cos her office is closer to the cinema. i got there before her and they said the tickets were sold out! i sjust stood there hoping for a miracle...........and i got one! Hallelujah!! some guy came to return his ticket cos he wanted to see the 9.30 movie. problem: he was returning just one ticket. i needed to buy two tickets for me and my twin. i bought the guy ticket anyway, hoping for another miracle. i called her again to find out where she was, she was still on her way. by the time she told me her exact location, i realised there was a mix up. she was headed for another Cinema! Disaster!
we decided there was no point any of us going to meet the other. Luckily, she was able to get tickets where she was. the movie was definitely worth the trouble. I looooooooved every minute of it.
That reminds me, when superman premiered. omo! you should have seen the way Mr. Ex abandoned me. we had only one ticket and the tickets were slod out. he dint even say, 'u go see it baby, i'll see it someother time."
NO! it was just "sorry baby, i have to run cos the movie is about to start" and a quick goodbye kiss. i just stood there not sure what to think or do. this life sha...............
anyway, back to what i was saying, many times when people do things and i feel disappointed i cant help asking myself if my expectations from them are too high. honestly, i think not but i may be wrong.
